The Girls JV and Varsity Basketball teams faced their Section rivals, the Rochester Rams on Thursday.

The Varsity team went into Thursday’s game with a chance to tie Rochester for the Section title with a victory. Rochester started fast and jumped out to an early lead. At halftime the Rams led by 15 points, 31-16.

The Lady Warriors came out hot in the second half and scored 21 points in the third quarter cutting the lead to as few as five points. Unfortunately, Rochester was able to pull away in the fourth quarter and defeated the Lady Warriors 72-49. Haylee Fleishman led Eden with 18 points, and Taylor Haring, who scored her 1,000th career point during the contest scored 13.
